Mahe is the biggest and main island, But your trip is incomplete without visiting La digue. You really have to go to La Digue and see the rock formations, it’s the reason most people come to the Seychelles. Here is how you should spend the day on La Digue island!

Even if you are staying on other island you can still visit la digue for a day tour. You can pretty much stop anywhere in La digue and there is a beach. Also, there are swings and hammocks everywhere.
La Digue is the third most populated Island of the Seychelles. It has a population of 2800 people. The famous mode of transport is the Bicycle or Ox Cart. It is only a 15 minutes ride from Praslin by Ferry and almost 75 Minutes from Mahe. Once you reach La Digue you can collect the bicycle at Kazye café, (It’s ok to leave your bikes unlocked, just don’t leave your belongings in the basket. ) about 3 minutes’ walk from the jetty, and after you are free to explore the Island as you please.
Famous attractions to visit
· Anse Source D’Argent: It is famed for being one of the most photographed beaches on the planet with its dazzling white sands and calm shallow emerald waters. There are breath-taking views everywhere and watch out for the giant tortoises on the road, There’s even a tortoise habitat where they have tons of them protected in an area. That is close to Anse Source d’Argent.
· L’union Estate: Entry Fee Applied It is a former coconut and vanilla plantation, the real insight into La Digue‟s Colonial History. The Plantation House is one of the oldest examples of French colonial architecture.
· La passé It is the centre of activities, where the Jetty, Banks, Shops and majority of services can be found.
· Veuve Reserve: It is the breeding ground of the Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher. A rare and Endemic Species which immediately catches the eye thanks to its deep blue colour.
· Grand Anse Beach It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island. Although its waters are too deep and the currents are too strong to swim, it offers gorgeous scenery and perfect for beautiful photography after that head North and took the trail up and around until it ended at Anse Fourmis. Some of the hills are prettiest there , Biking is a great way to see the island because you can get around so quickly. There will be cute buggies and oxcarts if you wish you take.
